Job Description
As a Cook, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparing food items for customers in a timely and consistent manner, including special requests
- Assessing food and supply requirements based on rotating menu options
- Inspecting food products and supplies as necessary
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment
- Checking food quality before it is served to customers
- Managing and minimizing waste
- Adhering to established safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
To be considered for the role of Cook, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Culinary certification or degree from a culinary school is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience working in foodservice or restaurant industry is required
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be comfortable standing, stopping, squatting, twisting, and moving frequently
- ServSafe certification is preferred, or you should be able to pass ServSafe course within 30 days of start
- Should be familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices is preferred
- Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and follow specific recipes

Server
Become A Server For The Hershey Bistro
Job Description
As a Restaurant Server, your responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and seating them based on their arrival time
- Familiarize yourself and customers with with the menu and providing appropriate meal suggestions when requested
- Taking customer orders and accurately communicating them to the relevant team members and/or kitchen staff
- Serving food and beverages in a timely manner
- Properly cleaning, clearing, and resetting tables between customer use
- Collecting payment from customers promptly and properly
- Assisting in training new hire employees as required
- Anticipating guests' needs to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience
Qualifications
To become a Restaurant Server, you must have the following qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude towards customers and working as a team at all times
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Confident and outgoing demeanor
- Mobility for at least 4 hours, with the ability to bend, stoop and lift moderate weight
- Legal age to serve alcohol
- RAMP certification or ability to complete the RAMP course within 30 days of start
- ServSafe certification or ability to complete the ServSafe course within 30 days of start
